The MISC•aLAIR•é•Omm… is under construction....

TLDR
The Queer Garden Network of Metro Detroit is a decentralized gardening collective experimenting with non-hierarchical organization.
Camp Misc is currently the most active camp in the network, hosting gatherings, workshops, and gardening projects while acting as a communication hub for the broader network.
Queer Garden Network
Digital Community
After lots of monkeying around, Detroit Queer Garden Network has landed on Signal (an independent, non-profit organization with a track record of protecting privacy) as our primary form of communication.
We have intentionally chosen not to use social media, such as Instagram, as we do not align with the values of those corporations and do not want to drive additional attention there.
We did have a dedicated Discord channel, but after Discord's choice to force photo ID verification following a significant data leak, we also decided to divest from that platform.
Given the current political climate in the United States, many of our members value their digital privacy. In support of these values, we keep our conversations primarily on Signal.
We understand this may not be the most convenient choice, but ethical, values-driven choices often are not.
